Something that I like to do when I'm not reading, writing, or watching movies is listen to Radio Lab. They cover a variety of topics and everything they talk about is so seemingly ordinary but very interesting and eye-opening. If you're interested in listening, you can listen to Podcasts that you can find via iTunes. Just go to the iTunes store, search 'WNYC's Radio Lab' and you'll find a list of podcasts. They're all completely free, so if it turns out that you don't like what you hear, the only thing you'll have wasted is time.
I'm not a really big science person, but even I found these radio shows really cool and interesting!

Thanks for the recommendation! I like to listen to podcasts when I'm noodling around on the computer, and I was kind of running out of things to listen to. (Although I did just download a couple of audio books) -- Hey, I should sign up for the audio book challenge - I probably listen to 12 audiobooks a year anyway.
